Description Ok, it's not exactly a traditional samurai, but that's all I could think to call it... sorry! and there's still some smudging from erasing, but I was having a hard time erasing them with the mouse (I'm so spoiled by having a tablet that I can't use a mouse anymore!).

I'd appreciate any constructive criticism you have - I'm still not that great and trying to learn! (I think this is only my third or fourth full-body drawing... I'm not that good at drawing people yet.)

owh! C&C XD
Well, I like the movement in the hair and the swinging blade of the sword, and the perspective of that is really good.
The feet are particuarly good for showing perspective, and the hands look right *can't draw hands*
However, while the fold on the bottom of the dress thingy are really good and show the movement, the folds in the top part are quite randomly places and don't fall where you'd expect them. Not that I'm very good at folds myself, but the general rule I think is that they appear where fabrics being pulled and where it's loose.
Also, while I appreciate that the character's legs are bend, I think the proportions are slightly off; the hands are too low, the arms too long.
I hope that doesn't sound really critical, and I didn't mean any offence XD

Thanks! And I don't mind the critiquing - it's the only way I'll ever get better! I'm not that good at drawing folds yet... I need to work on those. And the foot in front is too big.

I find it a tad too long, but that might just be because the other foot, that is hidden partially by the skirt, was slightly smaller in proportion. I had to bring the skirt up slightly to hid her right hand - it wasn't working out too well. I'm not too good at hands, either, and had about five drawing books and references out to make the one holding the sword to look right!

lol. I can bet you there; I got a wooden drawing hand. It's like those wooden manaquin things, but it's a hand. It's creepy XD When I first got it I couldn't stop laughing.
And I know what you mean about hiding hands with clothes; I do it all the time XD The hand holding the sword actually looked really good XD

That is kind of creepy, but it sound useful! Thanks, by the way! It took me forever. You should have seen the eraser smudges on it when I scanned it into the computer - I dodged the heck out of the picture to get it looking decent!
