Quick little sketch I did the other day. Quick is the key word here - this is not my best work ever. Only really posting this because I realised how inactive I have been lately, but illness and coursework have been getting in the way of things, so I'm sorry about that.This is another OC, his name is Kay (its a placeholder while I find the right phonemes), he's sassy and the dictator of the world in my main story for the graphic novel/ manga I'm working on.
Also his hair is like elven quality.
He's one of my favourite OC's, maybe even THE favourite, but I shouldn't say that sort of thing when hes not even a main character. The mains would feel bad.
Big paintings on the way as well as atleast pages of a short graphic novel, if not a finished short story....
so yay!

Thanks! Yeah I kinda collaged his face from real people and I didn't bother to try and translate into anysort of style, I have been less consistent in how I draw recently so I'm trying to shake it up slightly ^.^
And I'm feeling better I think, I had the worst cold I have ever had and I missed sooo much school. I was already behind but now... well.
I also got diagnosed with anemia last month and the side effects for the iron pills I'm taking are kicking in I think.
None the less, gotta battle through haha

It's always good to try out new things to keep it interesting.
I hope your anemia isn't a serious kind and that it will go away eventually. I just did a quick search and figured out that most types of it can be caused by a wrong diet. You could ask your doctor if you could substitute the pills with meat to some extend, in order to limit the side effects a bit.
Besides that, keep fighting. You will get through

Me too haha, yeah thats the thing, I'm vegetarian ... I think if it does turn out to be a more serious form, because my family has a history of pernicious anaemia, I would consider changing my diet. The side effects seem to have settle down right now, not sure if i just haven't had time to think about it though haha

That's fine, no worries
I respect that you're a vegetarian, but you still need a good source of protein which most plants simply doesn't provide. However I would suggest that you start eating a lot more beans and tofu, and perhaps some fish if your diet allows it, if you wish to continue with a vegetarian diet.
Other than that, I think it's great that the side effects seems to be disappearing.

Man, that's a question I will struggle to answer without writing an essay!
I suppose he is an antihero, viewed as a villain.
He is the dictator of the world, but when he came to power after his father died it became clear, that he is more of a figure head for a counsel of status quo maintainers to puppet, and through him manipulate the people. He wants to change the way things are done but knows they will just get rid of him if he does anything too drastic, so he just does what he can within bounds he can get away with while waiting for an opportunity to overthrow current government rule.Β
His motivation came by his disgust at the way his father viewed the people, how his first child had to be sent away for her safety as soon as she was born, just because the tradition is that the first child should be a son, his frustration about being in a powerful position, but not being able to do good with it and the death of his wife three years after their son was born.Β
For the entire first story, he is only seen in propaganda posters in the background and talked about by characters occasionally. Everyone only sees him as a disconnected, selfish dictator they have no choice but to respect. They only see him differently when he summons secretly the instigators of a rebel group who successfully took control over their city to offer his support.
Okay I don't think that was too long. He's a little cliche but oh well, I had fun writing him ^.^
