Description -----------full view please-----------

character- Guy Salvatore
from- my comic, "The God Machine." [published soon from Archaia]
media- photoshop

"Always remember
That you will find
A reason to live your life"

Remember; lyrics (C) De/vision

I started this image awhile ago. Maybe a few months ago? Dunno. Wanted to fuck around with digital painting that's effective and easy on my hands- it's helping me correlate what methods i should use in my comic pages without killing myself.

I tend to tighten up considerably in my pages vs. my illustrative pieces [pending on content]- and it's killing me.

Anyways young Guy Salvatore.....

It's the glasses that make iot for me. They're so subtle that it takes the eye a second to register them. Part of what makes that detail so specifically potent is the composition, and the way it pulls the viwer around the peice. The red leads the eye in, the dark curl at the bottom brings it around, and the path ends with those glasses. Fantastic.

My only real critique is there is a little black scribble to the right of Guy that is a little distracting. Otherwise, awesome piece.

Well it looks like the warmth of reaching up while the world seems to pull you down. The mind being stretched out as it dives down the rabbit whole. As it stretches, hits the pain of change, yet the warmth of reaching out stains the window as it is being pulled down. I am probably wrong, happens a lot when you're am idiot. This probably just be that it has the same cuteness as work that I love. Which most don't really get as cute or something you want to hug. Just like with most of her work I think is cute this fallows the same line.
