Spiro Terrore (Spy-Row--Tear-Or-Ay) is a demon of unknown origin. She tends to lurk in dark caves and forests, and only comes out to feed or to lay her eggs. People who have wandered into her territory have noted rather large spider webs spanning across trees and tinseling down from branches. They also have this unshakable feeling of being watched. Hmm...
Notes-
Spiro is fairly large at 6ft tall and 13ft long from head to tail. The leg span of her spider legs on her back is 20ft making her look even more massive.
Spiro is asexual and thus experiences no sexual attraction.
Spiro has two hidden fangs that fold out from the back of her mouth. They deliver a potent venom to kill or immobilize prey. She is able to adjust the chemical makeup of her venom depending on whether she needs to kill or stun. Her fangs are based on a vinegaroon's pedipalps and as such, her venom smells like vinegar.
Spiro is a parasitic creature. She uses hosts to lay her eggs in. These hosts are mammals and usually consist of large game and humans. Her eggs are transferred from her to her victim via an ovipositor (I'll leave which orifice she inserts her ovipositor in up to your imagination), then the children incubate inside the paralyzed host until they hatch, then they eat their way out as very large spiders. That's right--her kids are giant spiders.
Spiro is considered very dangerous. Besides the obvious, her fur is actually trillions of urticating hairs and are excruciating if they stick in you. Think of fiber glass mixed with 3rd degree burns. They can blind and even suffocate if inhaled. Luckily they don't fall off on their own. Spiro has to actively shake them off for them to work to their full effect. She does this as a defense mechanism.
Spiro has the ability to shapeshift into various forms. This makes catching prey easier. She can change into a giant spider, human, wolf, deer, and pretty much anything else.
Spiro's blood smells like freshly cut grass.
