New one is best. Has the nice simplicity of your Sons of Anarchy work.
The old one sort of overwhelms the linework, not to mention I'm not crazy about outlines in color, or even in white in the inks unless for some special effect.

Yeah, I hear ya, I dont really do any special effects anymore, unless it really calls for it. I try to compliment the line work now, more than then. Plus theres no color theory there, values are off, I blew out the high light on the skin... so much to learn at that point... Shit, even now, Im still learning all the time.
