Description
One of the many, many early concepts for Bouncing Boy from the Legion of Superheroes cartoon. I was given the direction to make him look more alien than his comic book version, but i wanted to keep his blue suit look that I was familiar with. I just carried the blue into his skin tone to imply that the accident that turned him into Bouncing Boy also changed his skin. Second season, baffling enough, we were told not to use the character as much, even though we had left him as leader of the Legion at the end of Season One and I felt he was one of the better fleshed out characters from the first season. The final design used in Season One was created by the ridiculously talented Derrick Wyatt and the Season Two model was tweaked a bit by that drawing dynamo, Lynell Forstall.
