My take on the fearsome Mabelene . In the original comic she is a werewolf able to transform at will rather than only under the light of a full moon, but my version is a nagual . She is a Mesoamerican shape-shifting witch that can turn into not just a wolf, but other animals as well like jaguars, pumas, and birds. Mabelene is vicious and mercenary, working for whoever pays her enough and gives her the opportunity to hunt and kill as she pleases. While she is brutal and animalistic, Mabelene is capable of being civilized when necessary. Though her shape-shifting gifts her with many forms, it comes with the drawback of her clothing not changing along with her, thus necessitating the looser ones seen in the image. She is willing to wear more clothing when necessary, though if she needs to transform they are likely to end up in shreds around her.
