I actually enjoyed the game. It's supposed to be a 'reimaging' of Silent Hill 1 and not necessarily canon so I don't understand why everyone is so butthurt with "OMG THEN HEATHUURR DOESNT EXIST" in shit. I was disappointed that there wasn't as many monsters but the story was fantastic, in my opinion. GREAT ending. I just WISH the game was a lot longer.

Nah, the story was alright. I didn't hate the game at all actually.
What set me off the most was that the only time you got confronted with monsters was in those running sequences. Which kinda took away from the suspense imo. and just created various bursts of panic that didn't really add to the Silent Hill atmosphere I'm used to.

I hated the game. Mostly the fact they screwed up the original, aaand you can't have a SH3 because of the endings.
But...I must admit, the good ending was so sad. First time I almost cried for a SH game.

The problem is that the run sequences and the regular gameplay was so clearly separated, that there was no actual scare-factor :S
meh. the only good thing about it was that I could have it on a portable console so yeah.

That's cool, I just bought the first and the second and I'm ready to get the full silent hill experience, and I'm ready for any nightmares I might have. xD

I don't know how scary the first two SH games will be to you. I've replayed them a few months ago out of nostalgia and boredom. And... well I guess I got desensitized over the years, because it wasn't really scary. The graphics alone make it hard to really be afraid of anything. But back in the day. It all looked and felt so realistic to me, xD ah well

They haven't been very scary so far, but I'm still enjoying the games. Some things have been creepy but nothing that scares me too badly. xD;;
The graphics definitely make it seem less terrifying, but pixel is cool too. :'D
I'm anxious for the new game Downpour, I have hopes that it'll be good but I've seen a lot of people give it shitty reviews. Although some of those people were a little unreasonable.
