Thank you- I noticed in your gallery that you do a lot of line work. Try shading in graphite before you launch into color application
If you are skilled at shading realistically then color comes easier.

i only color or shade when i'm bored. tho it does happen quite often. one would think i'd improve at least a little. thanx for the tip tho, but i should get better pencils, mechanical + shading = a TON of work and TERRIBLE outcomes.

Mechanical pencils are a bit bothersome to shade with but really they're fine enough (maybe not for line variation in linework though lol). Good pencils do help

Getting better requires a lot of time and constant practice (especially with shading + drawing people). It is a bit like aging- you've got to live everyday and then age happens so slowly that you don't even notice it creeping up on you.

What nice imagery. Ever tried writing, or even thought about it. What
you wrote my have been a fluke -- sounding good without thought but
if you keep at it something good could appear after time; "you [won't]
even notice [your talent] creeping up on you".

I'm thinking of getting better tools sometime soon. I'll improve eventually
and then you can see what little improvement I display

Thanks- that's product of salt and soap mixed in with the paints (it creates cool textures )

^_^ Thank you! I was trying hard to get something like that but I kept messing up so eventually I resorted to listening to metal then flipping the deck over to new age and it kinda helped. XD lol

Thank you~ I'm still toying with it though so colors may be tweaked a bit because I feel like the left side is lacking stuff.
