Description
this is what i was doing when my camera died in a gust of wind.everything in my hand except the starfish and pearls was also lost to that damn wind.
this is one of the few things i've submitted lately that i actually care about, that really means something to me.
i also have a black and white version, but the colors turned out so nice and garish and painful.

this is so fantastic. the colors are great-especially the contrast of the browns and creams of the pearls, flower, and seastar against the teal-ish color of the wood.

In Photoshop, if you go to View > Proof Setup and change it to something like Monitor RGB, you can get quite a different-looking picture.

i think this is one of your best pieces... theres just something about it... and i have a feeling that evreyone who looks at it will see something different.. to me it feels like its a sad picture.. but a beautiful sad

lovely, i really really like this picture. the perspective carried by your legs in the the background really help to keep focus on the hands. the colors are great too. the reason your colors are different here on DA though is because in photoshop you have a "working color space" which is usually Adobe 1998 or sRGB they're both very similar in color space, but yeah your web browser does not have a "working color space"... unless your on a mac of course, then you get colorsync system wide. you could try embedding the color profile in the image ( IMAGE menu > MODE > ASSIGN PROFILE ) but odds are that DA will strip that profile from the image file when you upload.

I think this is a piece that will mean something different to everyone. It means sad things to me... Confusing sad things that make me feel like I should sit in a quiet room and think for a bit. Been awhile since something made me want to think and contemplate stuff. Hm.. Thank-you for that. It's nice feeling like I should think about things, it also makes my trigger finger itchy to snap photos; if only I had a card for my camera.
I adore your photography, and you lost your camera? Er.. it died? That's sad... may it live again, or a new one help ease the pain of its death.
