Happy Valentines, Horrorfans. Please forgive the long absence, and read further to understand what's going on.

I never dreamed Horrortale would still be so active from almost 10 YEARS after its invention in super-early 2015. Holy moly, you are all the absolute best. As some have noticed, Sour Apple Studios has been pretty much inactive for a few years now. This is pretty normal in the art community, but it makes me restless being so out of touch. Thanks to life, it's only now I get to update one more time.

It breaks my heart to share that, after sustaining an injury, I just physically haven't been able to draw the way I used to for the past year. It drove me absolutely insane and yeah, it took some therapy to find peace elsewhere. In better news, I've nearly recovered enough to draw again. Physical health, relationships, and career stuff have taken the forefront of my life sine then. I love Horrortale and I love to draw, but in the meantime, those interests have taken a side-step while I regain control over many other aspects of my life.

For all my lovely fans who supported my work, a tremendous thank you. A comment, a subscription, even just a view, it all makes my heart swell. But, a very special thank you goes to all my patrons who still support me even through the quieter months at Sour Apple Studios. For them, I am re-drawing high-res pages from Horrortale Book I in my new style. A panel from each page will be released for all to see on Twitter (or X or whatever). The pages will be released starting in March 1, and the output will likely be 2-5 pages a month.

I still hope that, one day, I will continue Horrortale Book II. When that day comes, I will let everyone know about it right here on Deviantart. Thanks again for all the love for Horrortale! It would NOT have existed past the first 5 pages without you. We made it happen together.
