Happy Paw day! I drew hands. I actually really don't like bubbly paws... I much prefer more reptilian hands, or something closer to human hands with 4 fingers. They're a lot more easily posable and expressive. Not to mention, you can get a lot of really nice lines out of that form. The shapes and lines in the palms, curves around fingers, the bones of fingers and knuckles, how one side is flatter than the other... for me, hands make the drawing. They are often the most intricate part of a drawing, and some of the most expressive. While your character's face says a lot about what they feel, hands show what they feel AND do! If you're hiding hands to avoid drawing them... STOP! The hands make the drawing. Put more attention on them.
