First in a series on rescue horses I did for photojournalism. Pictured is Jay (left) a non-rescue OTTB, Bonnie (the human
) and rescues Oliver (center) and Bucky (right). Oliver was rescued off the feed lot where he was awaiting a truck that would have taken him to one of the US's three remaining equine slaughterhouses. Bucky was rescued from a meat buyer by a previous owner.Thanks to Save A Forgotten Equine (SAFE) and Bonnie for working with me!
