I don't think any costume has given me more stress than this one. While it wasn't the most difficult to make, it is the most detailed, and I had the toughest time finding the right fabric. The boomerang was by far my favorite part of making this costume, as I admittedly enjoy making props a lot more than sewing.

Since Dynasty Warriors 7, Zhu Rong's name has actually been written as "Zhurong." Most people haven't bothered to make the change, but I usually do, with the exception of the title here so more people might find it.

I've wanted to cosplay as Zhurong for a couple of years, and almost resorted to making her DW5 costume because she was cut from DW6, and I thought her DW7 costume was hideous. I had the idea on the back burner until her costume was revealed for DW8, and I decided immediately that it would be my next project--I started planning before I had even finished my Kasumi and Sailor Star Fighter costumes.

Zhurong is probably the least popular of the Dynasty Warriors women, and one of the most seldom characters cosplayed from the series. I wanted to give her some cosplay love, and I'm very happy that I was able to do it.
