Three thoughts come to mind:
1. OMFG COOL!
2. Pisces.
3. One of them is totally gonna tear the other apart. <_< (Trust me, I've seen it.)

Hauntingly beautiful! Using black and white captures the beauty of the fishes' fins and scales, and their elegance.

This is so surrealistic. I didn't know that fighting fishes had colors like that too. Or is it in black and white?

Do you have pictures? I tried googling but there really isn't but there isn't anything even close to the picture.
We've had a red, a blue and a pink one. I've been to shops but can't remember seeing silver coloured ones there either

Sadly I don't, however, it also depends on your breed on betta.
Dragon - Large and full fins, tend to be very bright with silvery or gold specks to make them seem sparkly.
Half moon - Dorsal(Top) fin is a lot shorter then a dragon but the rest of their fins are fanned out constantly and look like a full moon, is usually a bit darker then the dragon betta.Β
Crescent - Usually only the tail fin is large and tends to be dark colors(black) with bright colored spots and "crescents".
King - extremely large compared to most betta, usually also a crown tail(Spiked fins), they can be a wide range of colors such as simply black to a bright electric blue.
Crown Tail - fins are large and full but not as large as a dragon betta's, the fins are spiked and give the impression of a crown.
Double Tail - Their tail fin is large and split so it seems as if it had two instead of one. (I usually see them as bright red or another bright color but it can vary heavily)
Plakat - Usually a dark purple/red with another color, their pelvic fins(ones right under their heads usually) tend to be very long. This betta is also quite big, but nowhere near the size of a king betta.
Those are a few breeds and their coloring.Β Also I will correct myself on what I called it, usually the name for silver or white bettas are called "platinum" bettas.
Where I live the pet smart here gets platinum bettas frequently and they're usually a half moon or dragon betta

Wow. You seem to know your stuff. Thanks for your time to reply to me. I don't have any bettas right now as they tend to die on me.
I googled with platinum and they're really gorgeus.
One more question. Is this one bettasshop.com/wp-content/uplo⦠a dragon betta?
Sorry for the late reply

LuciliaHeart In reply to Ackryllis [2014-03-21 23:24:13 +0000 UTC]
Yes and it's a beautiful one at that. It's fins are very full and yes even though it is dark, it can still be a dragon betta, they just tend to have brighter colors. All species of betta can be any color really, some just tend to be a certain kind more then others.
