Description Our hamster, Poppy, died on Monday 4th April 2011.
She was 2 years old and she had a stroke a few days before and was slowly going, we made her as comfy as we could.
Near the end she desperately wanted out of her cage, she we put her on our bed. She wandered around for a minute before collapsing.
I picked her up, and held her, then passed her to my fiancée, then she went.
I'm glad she went when we were around.

We buried her in our garden in her ball with sawdust, bedding and her favourite treats.

She was the cutest, most intelligent and cheekiest hamster ever
You'll be missed Poppy, we love you.

Sad too hear that. I have had pets, but each time we had too give them away, first we had a bunch of fish, and then because we were getting cats and well, as you know cats eat fish, we had too sell them.

The cats...well, cats who have lived out on a farm and then moves too the big city, they arent that used too stay indoors and usely they go outside if they need too do anything, so they '' mark '' their territories inside the house because they couldnt go out, we live very near an car road and we didnt want the cats being anywhere near it. And it's not fun when your apartment and furniture reeks of cat piss, i can tell you.

So in the end we had too sell them, i know it's not really the same, but i know how it feels when you lose your pets.

I believe in reincarnation, so im sure Poppy is still out there somewhere. Death is just the start of an new chapter in life in my opinion. Life never really ends.
