This is kinda nice but there is room for improvement.
I suggest that you look at official Sonic pictures for reference.
Here's some more advice: Sonic's quills don't really stick out like that when you look at him from the front, Knuckles is a bit too tall, and Amy doesn't have the same style of quills as Sonic - hers should be shorter and hanging down the sides of her head.
The colouring on this is good, though.

Based on what, the way they draw? Age has nothing to do with skill. If they were 'better' like you say they are, it would be because they practice more and have probably been drawing a lot longer than I have, NOT because of their age.
