Description                                                 Mai, The Snow Woman

An alarm clock went off around him, waking Takashi up. He looked at his clock; it read 6:30 am. Sighing, he lifted himself out of bed, grabbed some clothes and got some water for a bath. Once he was completely clean, he got himself dressed in his school uniform and brushed his teeth. When he was completely ready, he left his room and went down the stairs. On his way down, he bumped into a girl in the hallway. "Oh I'm sorry," he said apologetically.

"It's no problem," the female replied.

Takashi got a better look at the female. She messed with her orchid purple bangs and silver hair, while staring at him with her red-violet eyes. The girl was smiling at him, her face turning a bright pink. Pulling her arms out of her purple robe, she put her hands together behind her back and looked at the ground.

"What's your name?" Takashi asked her.

The girl looked up at him and stuttered, "My name is Mai Kirihara. What's your name?"

     "Takashi, Takashi Mimota," he replied.

She flushed a darker pink, looking back down at the ground. Mai mumbled, "It's nice to meet you Takashi."

They both stood there in a small silence. Takashi smiled and asked, "You want to be friends?"

Mai stared deep in his eyes, a look of shock on her face. "Really?" she questioned him.

He nodded and she gasped with excitement. "Oh thank you," she cried, hugging him, "You're my first friend here."

Takashi was a little surprised. He asked, "Why am I your first friend? You seem to be the kind of person to have lots of friends."

She stared at the ground glumly, "I'm not though. I'm a really shy person. I have a hard time talking to new people. But for some reason, I got the courage to talk to you."

"But you're talking to me, that's a start. And you seem to be a wonderful person to me Mai," he confided to her.

Mai jumped on Takashi, embracing him again. "Thank you," she whispered.

     "You're welcome," he replied.

Walking together, they work their way through the hallways of crowded people back to her room on the second floor. As they reached her dorm room, Takashi told her, "I'll wait outside for you alright?"

She beamed at him. "Alright, I'll keep you to your word," she clarified.

Once her door was closed, Takashi finished his route to the outside. He waited by the door for Mai to come out. While he was waiting, Kurumu popped out of the door. "Takashi!" she squealed.

Kurumu embraced him roughly, almost sending him to the ground. Takashi just looked at Kurumu and smiled. She looked up at him and inquired, "What happened to you yesterday? I thought you were going to come back?"

He felt a little guilty for leaving her there. "I'm sorry. There were some complications with a student and I ended up getting thrown into a brick wall," he confessed.

Kurumu's face became beet red. "Who was the student who threw you into the wall? I want a name so I can kick his ass!" she shouted.

Her attitude was fierce. She was pacing the ground, her arms stiff at her side. Trying to calm her down, he took her by the hand and sat her down next to a low brick fence next to the building. Then he starts rubbing her back, telling her, "Its okay Kurumu. I didn't get injured that badly really. Just a small bump on the head," he reassured her.

After a few minutes, Takashi was able to calm Kurumu down. To keep her attention away from his injury, he brought up Moka and Tsukune. "When I was hanging out with them, they really seemed like nice people," he mentioned.

Kurumu became a little irritated with that statement. "But I would've rather hung out with you a little more," he confessed.

This made her blush. She hugged and said, "Thanks Takashi."

Just as she was hugging him, Mai came out. Mai was a little irritated that Kurumu was hugging him, so she made some tiny icicles and sends them to hit her in the back. Kurumu jumped when she got hit, yelping a bit. Takashi looked around and found Mai near the door beaming at him. "Hey Mai, oh Kurumu, this is Mai my new friend," he waves for Mai to come over, "Mai, this is my good friend Kurumu."

Mai was frowning a bit at Kurumu as they were cautiously shaking hands. Takashi didn't notice that the girls were having a stare off. But as he called for them, they both stopped and followed Takashi to class. On their way, Takashi noticed Tsukune in the distance. He was about to call out to him when Tsukune was attacked by Saizo.

"Stay here girls," he growled to them.

Takashi dashed towards Saizo and body slammed him to the ground, leaving Tsukune free to leave. But Tsukune was having a hard time moving. Saizo stood up and noticed that it was Takashi who attacked him. "You shouldn't have done that boy. Now you'll regret it!" he yelled.

Saizo's transformation initiated, turning him from a fragile human to a half-ton troll. Though Takashi knew he was outmatched, he stood his ground waiting for the sequence to end. As Saizo was done transforming, Moka appeared around the corner of a school wall. She glanced over at the battle beginning and realized it was Takashi who was about to face Saizo. Running as fast as she could, she tackled him down to the ground as Saizo swung his fist.

"Are you crazy?" she hollered at him.

"Let's just get out of here," he yelled to her.

They stood up, grabbed Tsukune and ran to the school. As they reached the main building, they became aware of the fact that Saizo wasn't anywhere to be seen. Tsukune looked up at Moka and shrieked, "I'm leaving! I can't take this anymore."

"You can't leave Tsukune. You're one of my only friends here," she pleaded.

"I have to go Moka, I don't belong here."

     "Why do you say that?"

     "Do you like humans Moka?"

Takashi knew where this was going, but decided to say out of it. "Why-?" Moka began.

     "Just answer the question."

Moka shook her head and said, "No I don't. They were horrible to me throughout middle school. I won't have you go to a human school," she yelled.

"Well that doesn't work for me. I am a human Moka, so is Takashi," he confessed to Moka.

Moka looked at both of them in a state of shock. She couldn't believe the fact that her good friends were human. "No, it can't be true. You both can't be human!" she stuttered.

"It's true Moka," Takashi put his hand on her shoulder, "Both Tsukune and I don't really belong at this school."

     "Oh," Moka mumbled.

"This is what I get after telling you I'm human. Well I guess I don't like monsters just as much as you hate humans," Tsukune yelled angrily.

Tsukune ran off, with Moka saying, "Tsukune, wait!"

He didn't stop. Moka looked down at the ground, tears dripping from her eyes. Takashi felt bad that she was upset. He was going to comfort her when Saizo popped around the corner and grabbed him. While he was being lifted to Saizo's face, all he could see was his body, all covered with wrinkles from his muscles. When he was in view of Saizo's face, Saizo laughed. "You think you can take me on little shrimp?"

He threw Takashi away from the school, sending him to a tree. Takashi's vision was a little blurry from the tremendous amount of force on his head, but was able to see the troll body come after him. With all his strength, Takashi tackled the troll, actually stopping him in his tracks. But Saizo just swiped Takashi off of him and went to body slam him. Realizing he was going to get crushed, Takashi rolled out from underneath Saizo, barely missing the body slam. Saizo was out from the hit to his head. Moka ran to Takashi's side, seeing if he was okay. But just as Takashi was about to attack the troll, he heard someone scream, "MOKA! TAKASHI!"

Looking behind them, they saw Tsukune running towards them. Takashi smiled, as well as Moka. Takashi came up to Moka and said, "Moka, I know I may be a weakling, but I still want to be friends with you. You are a vampire, but I still like you."

Moka began to tear up from his statement. But Saizo woke up and thinking Tsukune as Takashi, he punched Tsukune sending him flying into a tree. Moka ran to his side, leaving Takashi to handle Saizo. Running around Saizo, Takashi was able to slow him down from going after Moka. Just then Mai and Kurumu came to the scene, watching Takashi try and run from Saizo's hits. Only Takashi was too slow to react on one hit and ended up on the ground. Mai and Kurumu called out, "TAKASHI!"

Mai had a malicious look on her face. She spread her arms out and a beam of light surrounded her. Saizo looked at the beam and shouted, "What the hell is going on?"

A few seconds later, the air started to get chilly. The beam of light dissipated, showing Mai again. Only this time she looked different. She looked a bit older, with a new set of clothes. Her violet tank top's hood was fluttering around her as well as the attached transparent sleeves at her elbows. There were some black markings on her face and tank top; her black skirt had white markings on them.

Mai roared, "You'll regret doing that to my friend."

She threw her arms forward and a big wave of icicles hit Saizo. The icicles sent Saizo flying backwards into one of the brick walls. Mai ran up to him, sending giant ice shards at him, the shards breaking upon impact of his body. He was dripping blood from his forehead and his arms. Kurumu grabbed Mai and pulled her back. "LET GO OF ME!" she screamed.

"Calm down Mai, Takashi is still hurt. We should see him since you stopped Saizo for now," Kurumu assured Mai. Mai stood there fuming, until she finally calmed down. "Your right Kurumu," said Mai.

They both ran up to Takashi and Mai cradled him in her arms. "Are you alright?" she asked.

Feeling his head, he replied, "Yeah I'm fine Mai. Thank you. What are you anyway?"

     "I'm a Snow Woman."

     "You're a snow woman really?"

     "Yeah," she muttered.

     "I think that's awesome."

Mai smiled, a tear running from her eye. But Takashi looked over and saw Tsukune sitting next to a tree with Moka holding him. She looked over him, finding only a few open cuts around his head and blood dripping from his mouth. He reached up to touch Moka's face, but his arm went limp and he broke the Rosario on Moka's neck.

Moka gasped. A flash of violet-red light filled the area, a weird aurora emanating from her. Mai, Kurumu, Takashi, and Saizo watched in awe of the transformation that was taking place. Her hair turned from a pink to shiny silver, her pupils became slits, changing to a blood red. Her hips and chest became a little bigger as well. She seemed more beautiful, yet scarier than her other form.

She looked over at Saizo and smiled maliciously at him. Moka raised her hand and waved for him to come to her. "Want to play?" she asked coyly.

Saizo just stood there, staring at her in disbelief. Finally he laughed and charged her. Tsukune yelled out, "MOKA!"

But just as Moka was within Saizo's grasp she kicked him in the ribs, sending him flying into one of the school walls. He laid there unconscious. Moka walked up to him and said, "You are just all talk Saizo. Learn your place."

Takashi and Tsukune could only gaze at Moka and her new appearance. Takashi started to stand up, but almost fell over. Mai grabbed him just in time to stop him from hitting his face into the ground. She helped him over to Tsukune, transforming back to her normal self. "Are you alright Tsukune?" he asked, still staring at Moka.

All Tsukune could do was grunt softly at Takashi, as if to say he was okay. Moka walked over to the two of them and swiped the Rosario from Tsukune. "Are you scared?" she asked smiling, "Don't be. I was only protecting you two…for your blood. I'm not like the other Moka."

The vampiric Moka glanced over at Takashi and winked at him. He gasped at the quick little wink just as Moka put the Rosario back on her collar. Moka collapsed, Tsukune catching her. Her hair and figure changed back to its original form. "Take Moka back to her room. She needs some time to rest from her big fight," Takashi told him.

Tsukune nodded and carried Moka down to the dorms, to her room. Mai looked over at Takashi and said, "You need to rest too, after the beating you just gotten."

Takashi just laughed and limped himself over to a crumbling wall, leaning against it. Kurumu sauntered over to Takashi and put her arm around him. "You'll be fine Takashi, I just know it," she winked at him, her face becoming pink, "I'll take care of you in your time of need."

Mai became beet red and yelled, "Hey, I was going to help Takashi feel better!"

Both the girls had another stare down, glaring at each other the whole time. Takashi just laughed to himself and said, "You both can help me. I need more than one person to make me feel better after getting beaten by a troll."

They both looked at him and smiled. But as they were walking him back to his dorm, they continued to glare at each other. 'This will be the most interesting school life I'll ever have. All I need to do is survive it with Tsukune,' Takashi thought to himself.
