Description
This is High Grade 1/144 Black Knight Squad Shi-ve.A. This mobile suit comes to us from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom, and is piloted by Shura Serpentine. An advanced high-performance mobile suit developed by the Kingdom Foundation using ZAFT technology, it was designed to specialize in close combat. It utilizes many advanced technologies, such as the new Femto Technology Armor developed by the Kingdom of Foundation, able to neutralize beam attacks and absorb their energy to recharge the mobile suit's batteries.

When Bandai first announced this kit, I knew I was going to have to have it. I’ve always really liked the whole black knight look, so a black knight mobile suit was something I couldn’t pass up. As far as looks, I absolutely love this thing! The color separation and articulation are exactly what I’d expect from a modern High Grade. I will say that I found myself a bit surprised by the number of color correcting stickers included in this one for a modern High Grade kit, but they aren’t difficult to apply. At least not the ones I used. I only actually used a few of them, and used paint in place of the ones I didn’t use.

As far as problems go, this kit doesn’t have a lot. The thing about this kit that bugs me the most is that the side skirts are attached to ball joints, so they tend to pop off sometimes while posing the legs. It’s not that big of an issue, though, since they pop back on. Other than that, it’s a pretty solid kit. I may bit biased since as I said before, I dig the whole black knight look this one has going for it, but I think this is a really great kit, and definitely worth adding to your collection.
