Wonderful work! I wonder.. How do you achieve such great smooth and yet visible transitions? Is it just a lot of tiles, or you use a damp brush after applying the tones?

Thank you kindly. It is just tiling with the correct values. I'm not so fond of blending afterwards, it kind of messing it up for me but in some occasions I do blend some edges when I do comprehensive studies from imagination.
