She went on to star in many films, including The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Thelma and Louise, Dead Man Walking, The Hunger, The Witches of Eastwick, White Palace, The Player, Little Women, Robot and Frank, Cloud Atlas, The Lovely Bones, and many more.

Susan Sarandon wears her politics on her sleeve. She has campaigned on many progressive social issues. She has backed Bernie Sanders for President. Also advocated voting for the Greens in the US elections, to the chagrin of those who backed Hilary Clinton and other establishment Democrats.
