Some of you may recognise the Dragonzard. A character design I made for 's dragon pokemon contest bout half a year back.
my entry.... a Fighting/Dragon type.... thingie

Kinda forgot bout this character, till more recently decided to revisit it again.

Some designs are just to be forgotten then resurface again.
So yes.

Dragonzards,
Male and female versions.

Jor'rah and Isha'ra
Brother and sister.
Currently Rank 4 characters.
May change eventually.

Note: skip if you have no idea bout pokemon

It appears that this alternate evolution to the Dragonair seems to have rather pronounced gender differences, much unlike other pokemon.

Apart from the obvious physical differences, it soon becomes apparent to anyone who observes them or has the fortune of having one as a protector that males have a tendency of specialising in close-quarter fighting, while females have a tendency of specialising in long-ranged fighting.

This is apparent as males tend to have a higher HP, attack and defence stats while females tend to have a higher special, special defence and speed stat.

This is far from absol-ute though. About 10-15% of individuals in either sex specialise in the reverse of what is more commonly seen.... and will also learn the unique attacks of the opposite sex instead.

Unique attacks learnt:

Males: Mach punch, Dragon claw
Tms: Males may learn false swipe.

Females: Aura sphere, Dragon pulse, calm mind, mirror coat ( instead of counter, ice punch, slash and extreme speed. )
TMs: Females may learn ice beam, thunderbolt, Shadow ball and Flamethrower. May not learn any "Punch" Tms.

Art comments

Using an experimental style of shading again. This one used low transparency black paintbrush on one layer instead of usual hybrid tech. Has a more random feel I guess.

Also using experimental tech to shade and texture the wings.

Also decided to make their arm-armour plates have a crystalline / metal look.

Ok, admittedly not really my best effort. This was done in.... bout..... 4 hours or so? decided to get this one done quick and get over with it.

And in case anyone is wondering,
they can't fly.
Their wings have feathers as strong as steel, but as soft as a normal feather.
And are used for blocking attacks and shielding rather than flight.

Classed as an anthro cause looks kinda like one.
