Description .rebel garden.

β€œEvery woman is a rebel, and usually in wild revolt against herself.” - Oscar Wilde

[This was by far the most strenuous self-portrait I've completed to date. Skating down the street to the location carrying my backpack filled with my camera gear, neon spraypaint, tripod in my left hand, four-foot-tall ladder in my right... I had to climb up a significant hill lugging everything, and don't get me started on the ten-second timer I had to use. But the fact that it was exhausting made it that much more satisfying. I was also blissfully reminded of my teen years--skating and painting. When nothing mattered but when I was out of school so I could go outside and roam.]

I must admit that I've never seen such elegance combined to the act of spraypainting. Must be the hair again, partly.
Usually the pictures with the artist cloned convey a weird ambience, and that is, of course, caused by simply seeing one and the same person cloned. This picture has that feeling, too, but it's the poses you're in and your actions in different spots that compensate for all the "weirdness".

Thank you! Yes, I really thought out the composition on this one and tried a lot of different things to make sure it'd come out well. The photo is very me, so I am loving how it properly portrayed me. I actually like the sitting pose with my hair flying forward. It looks really goofy.

You're welcome!
You're right, taking much more pictures than you would think you might need belongs to the basis of successful portrait shooting.

Oh yes, most definitely. But it's not so bad because I don't worry about the photographer getting impatient.

It makes perfect sense! The expression of a self-satisfied rebel, for sure.

I am sore from it, and I even did yoga today. O_O I'm about to go lug the same stuff to another location for today's photo, too. I'm a bit crazy when it comes to my photography.

And thank you so much! I really enjoyed creating this one!

I think this is kinda funny. I like the two...you's (not exactly sure how to phrase it...)...kind of in the center. The first you on the wall thing looking like your spraying the you below. Then the you below (the version of you with your legs straight out) just holding the rattle can up and spraying (it looks like your saying; "I don't give a f---). All thats missing is your green hair from previous photos. I had a bit of a chuckle at this one. But I see a lot in this picture too. There seems to be a multiple personality thing going on...which is pretty awesome! Each version of you is telling a different little story. Quite interesting if I must say. Also I think the version of you in the far back is pretty funny as well. It's kind of a rock star pose.

Its early and I haven't had any sleep in 43 hours (insomnia...sucks) and I am kind of laughing incoherently at completely random things. So I hope I didn't offend you for laughing at your picture.

Hahaha, no offense taken at all! It actually made me laugh! It was honestly just a fun shot to create and it's very much "me." I am big into skating and used to be into tagging. Cheesy a bit, indeed, but I am still happy with it.

I had a couple friends that got heavy into it. So much so that they actual made money doing it. They moved to L.A. and I haven't talked with them to recently, but they moved there to paint. I tried a couple times, but I always ended up covered in more paint than the thing I was painting (aka...tagging) so I didnt have as much fun as my buddies. But now...I light-paint/graffiti, which is wicked fun AND I don't have to clean off paint...not to mention the fuzz is FAR MORE appreciative of it.
