Description
A beautiful true South African story of a stallion (Tornado) and a student who both had issues to deal with.... First time i saw the movie i must admit i expected more, however i went out and bought the DVD and the more i look at it the more i enjoy it. Tornado now lives on a farm not far from where i stay, i have not met the horse, but as i believe he must be beautiful!i did this sketch from a picture i found on the internet, i loved the way the horse expressed himself. Ah Birgit, the days are getting longer and we did have a mild spell last week, but back back to the cold this week (minus 17 this AM), it will come though and the snow is slowly going.

hee.... i will try and concentrate if i can get "winter" shots of Africa in another "style"... dry... arid... and lot's of BROWN!... but i doubt if that is anything appealing... but if i see a nice view worthwhile, i will defnetly grab my camera and send submit it for you

How long did this take you? I really like your shading; more than the reference itself.
However I think that head area might be slightly small, but I might be wrong

Thanks ziggwies buddster! actually the type of breed does have smallish heads, very strong necks, the Arabian breed, lovely horses. Very tough and can be temperamental too... hee...
i did the sketch last year, i cannot remember how long it took, but i would say i drew maybe 1 and a half hrs, while sipping a lot of my favourite tea inbetween! it is A4 size...
