Fondant wedding cake figurine with hand made aluminium wire bicycle.If you think being a cake artist is just all about the fondant and baking, think again... Today I just spent 5hrs twisting a bunch of wires into the shape of a bicycle... Why? Cos in my mind I thought "how hard can it be?"
My fingers are red and blistered and I have several small cuts from pulling all those wires...
Note to self: It's hard...

Even though it was a pain in the neck to make, the bicycle is pretty awesome. And your figures are soo good too. I don't even understand how people can get such little detailing done in fondant.

Hahaha! I love the detail in this and just looking at the bike makes my hands hurt. You really took one for the team on that. *golf clap* I learned my lesson when I had to make a grooms cake that had a nascar crashed into the bottom tier. Never again. (Never got a pic of it either. Double damn.) Your designs and talent make my head spin.
