You'd think for all the female characters Ratchet has run into over the course of the series for a girlfriend it would've been Angela, considering she may be a Lombax, but then in Ratchet and Clank 3 he goes gaga over Sasha; then after the fight with Mr. Eye in the finale of Into the Nexus he says he wants to stay with Talwyn. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Also, holy cow is Angela tall! Also really like how you have Clank depicted as a thought bubble and it makes me think he's laughing at the height difference between Ratchet and the three women that they've run into. Ratchet's all "Why're you guys looking at me like that?"

I was always under the impression that Angela was a lot older than Ratchet (like, 5 years or so). Also, I'm all over girls being taller than their boyfriend, but she's a bit TOO much taller, imo. Idk, I just never shipped them. Tbh, though, there's nothing weird about dating several people in a span of several years. Ratchet changing girlfriends is actually quite realistic, and I like that. I mean, it IS just an excuse to make new characters instead of including preexisting ones in new games (which is annoying, I miss Sasha). But Talwyn is a good character, so it doesn't bother me too much. I can just read the comic if I want to see the girls interacting with each other (save for Angela). But yeah... I also kind of like the idea of Ratchet NOT being attracted to Lombaxes?? Since he never actually met one before Angela. I picture him finding the rest of the Lombaxes and still going out with Talwyn, saying something like, "yeah, Lombaxes aren't really my type." XD

My headcannon is that female Lombaxes, in addition to not having tails, are also considerably taller than males.
That, and Ratchet is short, even for a Lombax.

You're making it sound like they're all this girlfriends at the same time. Ratchet and Angela never dated (I prefer to think they were never interested in each other). According to an old website, Ratchet and Sasha dated for a little while and broke up. And according to the writers, Ratchet's dating Talwyn now. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

I'm open to pretty much all interpretations of Angela's race. I mean, she's obviously somewhat Lombax. And her tail has nothing to do with that (regardless what the radio said--they make stuff up all the time). She could have easily lost it in an accident. Nor does her height. Her ears are really the only odd thing about her. No pictures of other Lombaxes have shown them with that ear shape. Plus she lives in a cold habitat, completely opposite of what Lombaxes should be used to. So maybe she's interracial. Or just a Lombax with an uncommon ear variant. Who knows. I don't suppose we'll ever get a more specific answer than "she a Lombax" from the creators, either. But it's fun to come up with theories.

In Crack in Time, the radio talks about a lot of interesting trivia, including the "is Angela a Lombax" debate. Their explanation is that all female Lombaxes don't have tails, which is absurd, in my opinion. I think they were just making stuff up, or the team at Insomniac were just too lazy to give us an explanation any better than that.

There were a lot of things I missed, too. Like, I never knew Talwyn had dedicated songs to Ratchet and sent messages to him through the radio. I thought that was cute when I found out about it later. The radio was definitely an awesome feature in the game.

I didn't even look at their canon heights. I just used screenshots and my own discretion as a guestimate. All I know is that in Going Commando Ratchet comes up barely over Angela's waist and that's crazy!
