Some info: After his divorce with Pinkie Sombra kind of fell of the rails for a while and goes for Cadence for some help after all she is the princess of love. There's not much she can do but she decided to try and distract Sombra from his heart break by being his friend and spending time with him. The pair grows awfully close and on one faithful night feelings are just too much and they do the deed. It doesn't take long for Cadence to figure out she's pregnant, she tries to hide it at first but then tells Sombra and eventually Shining too. Cadence gives birth to their kid in secret and gives her to Sombra, they never speak about this and they don't want it to come out to the public, only a select few know about Cadence being her mother, not even Flurry knows. Shining of course took the news hard but he still loves Cadence, their relationship took a hit but with some time they'll fix it. Cadence regrets the whole thing immensly and wishes she could take it back, she and Sombra can no longer be friends which only makes her feel worse.
