Description
The female gritted her teeth in frustration, the tendons of her neck protruding slightly at the force she was using in her jaw as she gracefully maneuvered her ship through space.
Gracefully being a bit of an overstatement her multiple scorch marks along the side of her black beauty, the nameless, that had cut through her protectors more easily than usual.
A growl escaped from low in her throat as she tried shooting through her rearview, not an easy task but she managed to take a couple of the fighters with shots to their engines.
A crash riveted through the metal, like the screech of her death, which was what she was sure would ensue if the Drakish captured her, alive.
She smiled evilly to herself, her body was completely useless to them if she died.
With that thought, she turned her courses towards the planet closest to her at the moment, sadly it was one where the lifeforms had decided they didn't believe in the existence of any species outside of their planet.
Ignorant imbeciles they were, she hoped the Drakish didn't follow her in.
She didn't want to bring unneeded harm to an oblivious people, even if it did irritate the shit out of her that anyone could live a life unaware of how much of a shitty universe they lived in.
When she entered the atmosphere she tried to aim for a clear zone for her to crash at, but lucky her shields were down which normally protected a ship when entering atmospheres to prevent burning.
So it was getting a bit toasty in her ship, sadly not the way she hoped she'd die.
The ship collided with the earth cutting into the ground with faked ease as the dirt splayed itself in waves on either side, the metal groaned around her ripping off in slates at the collision.
Her head ricocheted off the dash jerking with the crash, leaving her laying unconscious, the darkness she hoped for enveloping her mind.
-Drakish P.O.V-
"Commander, the Shift has crash landed on Earth's surface, it is mangled and the scanners aren't picking up any movement. What is your orders sir?" The smaller man with slicked back greasy long hair that reached his mid back, ending in a tie just before the split ends, stood rigidly his pale complexion glowing eerily in the dark ship.
The commanders black depthless eyes turned onto his subordinate without emotion, "And the heat radars?"
"They are out of commision from one the the Shift's rear blasts."
The commander growled, sending a shiver over the subordinates prickled skin.
"And if we land?"
"Our fleet size is sure to bring the attention of the Earthlian forces, of which will surely end in some sort of dogfight. Even if their ships can't go in space yet." The commander nodded, the Earthlians were unorganized mostly fighting among themselves, but if they combined forces his small squadron would have to retreat in shame, or face death.
The commander rubbed his gnarled hand, the taloned nails scratching across his pale scarred jaw, "Fine. We're returning home," the commander shivered himself, "and let us hope the Queen welcomes us."
-Normal P.O.V-
A young man had been walking the forest at the time of the devastating crash, shaken off his feet he now sat dazed as he waited for the earth to calm it's tremors.
He rubbed a calloused hand over the now slightly uneven earth, as if calming a child before rising back to his feet.
He followed the ripple back to the source, whatever had caused this must have been something other than natural.
Involuntarily his mind flashed to a distorted corpse creeping out of the haul of a pod like metal carcass, he could still almost feel the rubbly blood over his fingers.
He unconsciously rubbed his fingers as he walked hoping that it wasn't another nasty creature he would have to stop before it reached town, it was his job to protect the earth and if the Earthly humans found out about the others...his skin prickled at the thought, we were already corrupt enough.
The ripples lead to a clearing and as he lifted his gaze from the ground to look around, he could swear his heart stopped.
Before him lay a hulking strangled heap of metal, a hazard of sparks shooting out from the broken plates and the nose of the ship was crinkled like tin, but one look at the shimmer of the metal and it's oddities- it wasn't tin.
He pulled out his elongated dagger from his belt, a cloth wrapped hilt and intricately designed blade that seemed to breath on it's own with an earthly glow, the blade itself the length of his forearm and curved into a low bend cresent.
He crept over to the now broken glass of the mangled front, preparing for their to be a garish creature half alive waiting to claw out his throat, his breath caught at the sight before him.
A tall woman laid draped awkwardly back against her seat, her limbs limp as she rested slightly to the right of herself.
Her long mahogany hair was splayed all about her, having caught on the seat in some places while most lay draped over her shoulder, some stuck to blood on her temple.
He shook himself as he noticed the wound, sheathing his blade he climbed up on the haul trying his best to retrieve her out the window without adding to her wounds; but her stomach dragged over the glass, though surprisingly it didn't cut through the strange material she was clothed in from collar to foot in the tight material.
She was large, in way of her long physique and her slightly bulging muscled body.
He struggled to carry her a safe distance from the wreck, she was sure to be his own weight maybe more.
He set her down as gently as he could against the soft grass, and he began his work.
She appeared human, but he didn't dare give any medication until she awoke just in case she was not.
He instead sprawled out his cloth of medical equipment he kept on him, taking a cloth and jar of water and silently began to dab away the blood along her face.
He hissed to himself as the large gash was revealed, luckily it didn't require stitches but he did retrieve a bandage from his supplies and tapped it to her temple.
As he trying to wash away the blood that ran down her neck he noticed a tattoo on the back of her neck, he moved her head slightly to get a better look, it didn't appear as much from what he could see. That being only the pointed tip to a thick black line.
When his finger brushed the mark, her eyes snapped open with an intensity that left him breathless and a grip on his wrist that seemed like it could cut off his circulation.
Her lips curled instinctively even though a cut on her lip started to bleed, again, she growled blood seeping into her white teeth.
"What do you think you're doing, human."
He regained his composure enough to fake rolling his eyes, "I'm trying to help you."
Her purple eyes narrowed on him in confusion, her ugly grimace not leaving her features "And why, would you do that?"
He paused, "Because it's my duty to help."
Pausing, the following hoarse laugh that scraped her throat caught him by surprise, obviously causing her pain she grimaced removing her hand to touch her head, her eyes widened slightly at finding the bandage.
"You're a medic?" Her disbelieving tone should have offended him, but he just laughed.
"Yeah I am." He gestured at his equipment, "Medic of the land at your service."
"Of the land?" Still in pain she was already asking questions.
"Yeah, runs in the family." He out stretched a hand, "If you can walk I can support you to get to my home, I don't think you want to be out here at night."
Her gaze narrowed, "And why would I go to your home?"
"Because your injured, need rest and your ship is being Miss Sparky Spark and looks like a death trap right now." He spoke as nonchalantly as he could, in truth the look on her face could cause him to bank it.
"Fine," she attempted to rise but the movement caused a painful hiss and a grip on her head,"Shit."
"Here, let me help." He grabbed her hand carefully wrapping it over his shoulders and lifted her on his back.
Hissing at the movement, "You can lift me?"
"Barely," He smirked over his shoulder, "Let's get you to safety."
She rolled her eyes, "Safety is a relative term."
He laughed, but caught it in his throat when another hiss blew against his ear, "Sorry."
"Just get us to your abode, human."
"James," He corrected with a smile.
With another roll of her eyes, "Niq."
He grinned even wider, "Nice to meet you Niq."
"You as well..James."
