The sadistic Decepticon medic Knockout used to be an extremely valiant Autobot and a friend of Roadbuster's. However, unlike most Autobot turncoats, his conversion was not by choice. In fact, the one who is responsible is for the conversion he doesn't even remember is his own nurse, Breakdown. While he was on patrol, she ambushed him and inserted a chip coded with the formula for Dark Energon into his identity circuitry. His memory was wiped, and his true self is locked within his processor, desperately crying out for help. In fact, Knockout's true, gentle nature emerges very often, only to be curbed gently by the soft-spoken Breakdown. Truthfully, Breakdown is in love with both personalities of Knockout, but she happens to like the sadistic side better. When these two medics are at work, Breakdown plays sweet "little" nurse, while Knockout plays the role of the mad doctor. Regardless of what roles are played in the operation, their patients end up looking like something out of a mechanical horror film.

Knockout is based off of Dark Protoman from Megaman NT Warrior while his bulky femme of a lab partner Breakdown is based off of Dark Samus From Metroid Prime. I think this really works because, well... Dark Samus was already sorta blue, and Dark Protoman was definitely already maroon. And the contras works great for these two.
