At first glance, Rey would come off as a nonchalant, fashionable teenager, but the mention of either the words "pokemon" or "tea" around him and he'll spark into a ball of excitement and start rambling on at 100 miles an hour.

He simply does not have the effort to care about things that don't interest him, so he can hardly hold conversation with people who don't hold common interests with him. For that reason, he could come off to others as being stuck up or proud.

If provoked, he'll go into (ʘ‿ʘ✿) “what you say 'bout me” (ʘ‿ʘ)ノ✿ “hold my flower" mode and launch into an angry tirade.

History:

At the young age of 6, Rey's father passed away from an unfortunate accident involving violent pokemon, leaving him, his 3 year old sister and his mother to fend for themselves.
Because of this incident, his mother was increasingly overprotective, trying to avoid Rey from coming into contact with any pokemon. When he reached 10, he was legally ready to start on his own adventure with his friends; however his mother disallowed it, afraid she might lose her son in the same way she lost her husband.
Rey was angered at this -- as any preteen boy would be, but he agreed to stay behind. His desire to go on his own journey with pokemon never died however, and he would head to the library often to read books about pokemon & battle strategies in hopes that one day, he will also get to experience them.

Age 15; Rey is old enough to start work at the local Striaton Cafe to earn money to support his family (& secretly saves some money for future travels). It was here where he acquired his taste for all kinds of tea.

Age 18; 12 years after the death of his father, his mother finally agrees to let her son out into the world, accepting the fact she can't keep him cooped up forever. Rey leaves the Unova region with a full backpack and lots of dreams to the Borealis Region where he can hopefully start anew with a partner.

Moves & Strategy:
- Flamethrower - Basic attack move.

- Will-O-Wisp - Burns the opponent's pokemon so they do less damage to Vox; his base defence stat is low to begin with.

- Roar - If Rey happens to be in a battle with a mon he cannot defeat, he'll use this move to end the battle.

- Pain Split - A move used after Will-O-Wisp, usually used to whittle an opponents HP down low enough for Flamethrower to knock them out

Vox is very affectionate towards his trainer, willing to comply with his trainer's ridiculous training regimes and fully believes that his trainer will bring them to victory. He can get jealous over other pokemon trying to get close to Rey, which is something the latter is still trying to get used to. Ambitious like his trainer, Vox tends to push himself too much sometimes, which results in long recovery periods.

Intense training must also be coupled with some intense down-time & Rey often buy's matching scarves for himself and Vox, and also introduces the Vulpix to some of his favourite things like tea & moomoo milk, both of which Vox likes as well.

Vox is almost always outside of his pokeball, walking alongside Rey, enjoying his companionship.
Rey is very grateful to have such an understanding partner with a common goal, although he himself as a trainer needs to understand his own pokemon's needs and make sure he doesn't overdo things, lest he ends up hurting his partner and in turn, himself.
