it's been too long since i did a korra sketch. here's a quickie.as much as i love that korrasami ending, i think it's kind of overshadowed korra's character. she's a super powered avatar, so wanted to convey that.

and thanks for the second sketch it will be handy to set a proper explosive background for this one. I also prefer this pose, because it gives a more powerful approach and movement to the composition.

What are some things you did to get the poses and face shape down?Β

I just sketch from imagination, so I just roughed out a general "strong" standing pose. Once I get the general idea, I will tweak small things with the pose and add the details. Even then, once I get into it, I change a bunch of stuff around, so my initial rough looks nothing like the final upload.
Sorry, that probably isn't all that helpful, but that's kind of how I draw.
