Description Wolfsister's second meme, [link]

This one was harder. Also I'm confused, do people actually question Tyrion's parentage?

And I drew a lot of babies in this...I'm surprised.

Agreed and the question of Tyrion's parentage . And the theory of Tyrion being a Targaryen ? Really ? What about : NO

I just fell off my chair with the Gregor + Aegon one
That was just brilliant

Best dance off pair ever!! I also just finished the Preface for book four and yeah, that "alchemist" guy IS totally a dick...heh...but that dude really should have seen it coming. I mean a mysterious cloaked guy leads you through multiple alley ways....just think about it a minute. I wonder how many characters have died while in search for putang in this series. Hmmm...

Do they? Really?

Here's my question. If a strange hooded figure claiming to be an alchemist ever invited you into an alleyway with promises of gold would you go?

Answer honestly. I won't judge.

I would think if ANYONE offered me gold in the 21st century I would just walk the other way. The fact that they are dressed in a robe and refer to themselves as an alchemist might actually make me more likely to consider it. But if this was ASOIAF, no way. I would keep my head down as much as possible in that world. Yes ser, no ser, as you wish. Little impact as possible.

Well, you deserved it The only way I was able to make it through the Brave Companions was by thinking about how grotesquely funny your Rorge and Biter are. I kept on thinking about Biter like, "He's just a land shark. He's just a land shark."

...sigh...

Can you tell that these books have kinda ruined my life?

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-30 15:05:14 +0000 UTC]

Haha. I love them. I really like all the mercenary companies in the world of ASOIAF. The Brave Companions being like, the bottom of the barrel just gives them an endearing quality I think.

Haha how so? By being invested in them or, they are too disturbing?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2012-12-30 15:58:33 +0000 UTC]

Invested in them. I have so many things to do, and yet these books exist, so I must read them. I'm at the beginning of the fourth book, so I'm aaaalllmost to the end. But I'm torn between wanting to finish and feeling good about having a buffer of book before I have to wait twenty years for Martin to publish again.

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-30 17:48:31 +0000 UTC]

Tell me about it. I finished a Feast for Crows about 3 years before A Dance with Dragons came out. And when I finished A Dance With Dragons it was like...well. 5, maybe 6 years and I'll read the next and won't even be finished. I'm going to be like 40 by the time I finish this series. I can't complain though, they're so good it's worth it.

Plus, there's so many other great books out there to fill the gaps. Sort of.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2012-12-30 19:37:57 +0000 UTC]

I agree with your 'sort of.' I've never encountered another story so detailed and perspective driven.

Did you hear that HBO made George RR Martin hand over all of the major plot points for the remaining books in case he dies before finishing? I also think that the tv series is going to speed him up a bit. He's going to need to come out with the next book within the next three years at least because HBO will need to produce a sixth season of GoT. He can't very well let the TV show beat the books.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-30 20:24:08 +0000 UTC]

Oh, I doubt he will let the TV show dictate how quickly he writes. There is NO WAY he will write the next one in 3 years. I think it was just a big mistake to get caught up in a TV show honestly. He's over a barrel now.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2012-12-30 20:57:21 +0000 UTC]

Haha. I totally disagree. If he lets the show get ahead of him, then all of the upcoming plot twists and finales will be revealed. Also, maybe being put over a barrel was exactly what he needed. That man is prolific, but somebody needs to give him a good kick--maybe HBO will be the boot.

On a side note, I really don't think the show is as good as the books. I actually started reading ASOIAF despite the show. My mom convinced me to read them.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-30 21:08:07 +0000 UTC]

Yeah but, you are assuming he gives a shit. People could tell him a meteor was going to hit the Earth in a year and he still wouldn't move any faster. He is a juggernaut, nothing stops him from going as slow as he wants to. But I hope you're right. Maybe this is a kick in the pants.

I agree, although the show does the best it can. It's not horrible but, so so much of the books are left in the dust. And the show would have to have the budget of like 5 Avatars to keep up with the actual books.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2012-12-31 04:05:23 +0000 UTC]

Ahh man...I think I'm going to have to agree with you. Martin IS a juggernaut. I also have to agree with you that hopefully I am right. My biggest nightmare scenario is that he bites it before finishing the books. Then I would have to depend on the show for answers. I have so many theories (esp. concerning Bran and co. --- he and the crannogs are my favorite) that it would suck to have to watch the less detailed/complex HBO version.

On a completely different mote, can I ask you something? There is a lot of Catelyn hatred out there. Do you know why people hate her so much? I'm not getting it--especially cuz she kinda rocks it at the end of book three.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-31 09:34:48 +0000 UTC]

Ooh is that so? Well. Bran and Co. Are one of my favorites too. I think we have things to look forward to at least.

Ah. Yes Catelyn hate. I know where they're coming from, and it's probably that she is the least understandable character, she convinces Ned to go to King's Landing, she hates Jon, she kind of just bungles a lot of things. However I have come to appreciate her in a lot of ways and I no longer hate her. She is interesting, just like Cersei or, any other. There is really no character that I dislike, honestly.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2012-12-31 16:57:52 +0000 UTC]

"she kind of just bungles a lot of thing"

Ahh, there I disagree. I think she did the best she could without knowing the entire truth. Yes, if she hasn't taken Tyrion or let Jaime go, a lot of shitty things wouldn't have happened, but everything seemed understandable to me. Her chapters were always hard for me just because they were so sad, but nothing ever really annoyed me. Also, with advising Ned to go sour. How could she have known that being Hand was the shittiest job ever? And Ultimately went despite her asking him not to.
Aaaaand about this hating Jon thing. Everyone loves him, yeah. But man, she was put into a hard position with him. I totally understand her dislike--especially considering how she was raised. Also other characters who like Jon, like Robb for example, do not have the perspective she has. They of course have other concerns, but for Robb his prospective children are not the only honor or achievement he has. He could win things. Catelyn only has her children to define her. With Jon, Stark blood will continue despite his bastardy (is that a word?), but Catelyn won't. I don't know. I'm ranting now.

Thanks for being so responsive to my grumblings.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2012-12-31 17:08:14 +0000 UTC]

Well I didn't mean I didn't understand her. She clearly thought she was doing the right thing, but the outcome turned out badly and most people hate her because she is the catylst for those events.

She sort of knew being Hand was the shittiest ever because the previous Hand had been murdered, so said her sister. So she should've been like "Ned don't go into that den of vipers stay in Winterfell." Some people might say. I don't know I think most people just don't like her because exactly like you say, she only has her children to define her. She's just. So. Mooootherly.

Feel free to rant haha. I love talking books.

Your pun was really good. Haha. Cat-alyst. I hope it was intentional Ah and sorry if I sounded like I was attacking you. It wasn't intentional

Now here's my question. You said earlier that you don't really hate anybody in the books. HOW???? I find myself growing more cruel as the books go on. For instance, I would not mind to have ALL of the Freys meet an ugly ugly end. Oh and when Arya killed the Tickler, I was super super delighted. Oh and Iron Islanders just fuck everything up. The only thing that made me not want to punch Wet Hair or Sea Hair or whatever his name is, was imagining that star fish you put on the inside of his thigh in your drawing of him. Heh. I love that thing.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2013-01-01 00:20:00 +0000 UTC]

Not at all.

Haha well, when I first went through of course I hated Viserys, then Joffrey, then Tywin, and you know all the lousy guys that are so hateable. But the more I thought about it the more I realized what the story would be without them and how good they are at being bad. I appreciate them really, especially Tywin. Even Walder Frey and Roose Bolton are interesting. I just can't find it in my heart to hate them haha.

Now, if Catelyn gets the most hate, the second most hated character has got to be Aeron Greyjoy, and I DON'T KNOW WHY! He is like...no joke, one of my favorite characters to read from. All the religious fanatacism and sea-related things. Ugh it's a dream come true for me. But everybody hates him, why?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2013-01-01 04:19:22 +0000 UTC]

Hahahha...cuz Aeron is a schmuk. He's as schmuky as one of those televangelists who says: Pay me to reach JAYZUS!!! Except he's like: The sea...my bones...drowning...everybody sucks...kingsmoot...I died once......

Inspiring words.

Now as for interesting, THAT he is. I totally agree. When I read his first chapter though, I couldn't help but laugh. My favorite parts were when we could see how he heard his own voice. "...so full of power...no one dared to reply." Ugh. i wonder if people are actually scared of him, or if he just thinks they are. All I can think about is how sour and lame he seemed to Theon. But then again, Theon is NOT the best judge of character, see: every decision he's ever made...

But all together, I hate a lot of people in the books, and I hope that many of them bite it. But there isn't anybody that I don't think is interesting. Oh! You know who's awesome AND fucked up? Fat Belwas. WTF. I mean fuck. He cut that dude's head off and then shit on him...O.O I had to read that part twice even though I really really shouldn't have.

Okay, gotta go figure out a puppet show for New Years. Have a wonderful New Years! Happy 2013!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2013-01-01 05:39:36 +0000 UTC]

Haha I guess. But if I hated everybody who was a schmuk in this book there would be nobody left. I mean all my favorites are schmuks in some way. Although, my SUPER favorites are actually not. I am in love with Ser Barristan and my all time favorite character is Ser Duncan the Tall from George Martin's Hedge Knight series. So I guess I am not above loving the pure ones.

I certainly hope you are not expecting all the bad guys to die and all the good guys to kill them though. I feel like you will be sorely disappointed...Martin is kind of that way.

Haha, Strong Belwas. I like him! I basically love anybody who fights a one-on-one duel. Those are my favorite parts. Wow I'm such a boy. Vrooom vrrrrrrrrrooooooom! Eeeeeyyyyyyywwwwwwwpkabooommm!

Puppet show? Happy New Year new book friend.

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2013-01-01 09:08:26 +0000 UTC]

Hahahahahahha. Yes. You are a guy for liking the one on one fight scenes the best. But I'm a girl because I'm only at the beginning of book four and I've already forgiven Jaime for pushing Bran out a damn window. I mean how cold bloodedly girly is that????

But yeah, some of my favorite scenes are actually one on one fight scenes. Dondarrion vs. Hound, Belwas vs. Doomed Peeing Man, Jaime vs. Doomed Bear, and most importantly Red Viper vs. Mountain. Man, THAT one broke my heart. I'm still in love with the Red Viper, even if his head is all caved in.

And as for liking bad characters, I can agree with you about Tywin at least. He made complete sense, and I actually really liked him even though some of his actions made me sick. And he was at least an equal opportunist when it came to his kids. Even though it was for different things, he disliked all of his children pretty equally. I know people will argue that he REALLY hated Tyrion, Tyrion got screwed over the most, but i think all the kids had pretty good gripes against the old man. Also, for characters who need to die...all I want is for the Freys to get hit where it hurts. And for people who need to make it, but probably won't...DAVOS. He's my favorite ever, but he's super not going to make it.

Quickly with the puppet show: We put on a puppet show for the children in my family for New Years. We're Russian so New Years is a cross between a masquerade and Christmas. My mom made a puppet dragon out of paper and napkins, and a reeeeaaaallly cumbersome snake out of paper and glitter. It was fun.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Sir-Heartsalot In reply to ep462 [2013-01-01 10:27:54 +0000 UTC]

Well I forgave Jaime too and embraced him whole hearted so, I guess I'm a girl for that. But again, I also love Rorge, Biter, The Mountain that Rides, all those monsters. Oh hey, you know what's a real pet peeve of mine about the show? Any time Ser Gregor is brought up they refer to him as "The Mountain" they have not used the phrase "The Mountain that Rides" once on the show. The whole reason it's cool is because he's the Mountain that Rides.

Oh nah Davos will make it, I'm sure. He's our birthday present for Ned. Actually I predict there will be many who make it, I don't believe we will have just a mountain of bodies at the end of the series like some people think.

Oh well, if I knew how to make those backwards R's I would wish you a Happy New Years in Russian.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ep462 In reply to Sir-Heartsalot [2013-01-01 20:25:02 +0000 UTC]

Ah! It's easy. You can say, с Новым Π³ΠΎΠ΄ΠΎΠΌ -- s noviim godom

Now, The Mountain that Rides: Agreed. The show has not done Gregor Clegane well in my opinion. They changed the actor multiple times as well, which is annoying. Aaaalso, they made the Hound way less interesting. Little Finger steals all of the guy's best lines (ie his scar story and telling Sansa that Kingslanding is full of liars and they're all better than her).

Actually, when I first watched the show I didn't get it at all. I just thought George RR Martin hated blonde people. I was really stupid because I thought it was some kind if historical drama...well, until the zombies showed up that is.

Now Davos. Haha. yeah, he is our birthday present for Ned. i love your pice with the three Baratheons and their bff's. So good! I actually think Davos is going to make a valiant effort and he's bound to do something great, but how on earth will he make it through being so truthful? The same goes for Brienne.
