grandpa took 4 tours to Vietnam and survived the dence jungle full of many animals, critters and native Vietnamese.
He was a sniper using a browning rifle 50cal I believe, grandpa loved the moonscoop using the moon light to reflect it in the scoop to put the illusion of night vision.

sadly with war comes Carnage, an grandpa with four tours has expressed all the evil he has witnessed and walked away from.

he has a total of 93 confirmed kills with his sniper. when American soldiers pushed up almost half way up Vietnam the communist party pushed hard, so hard they pushed the American soldiers to fall back all the way to the sea. This is when my grandfather picked up a fallin soldiers assault rifle and used it during the retreat.

without a stable out look post to camp and confirm kills with a pen and paper my grandpa with the only thought of saving his a$$ retreated, returned fire and kept it moving son. he just didn't have the proper time or place to stop and reconcile the nightmares of this war.

saying good by after fighting alongside ur brother for 2 tours in Vietnam was the most heartbreaking moment of my grandfathers whole time in the war and that says a lot about the to men in this picture.
