Wonderful design. Like the symmetry offset by the open vs. closed part of the pendant. And the light etching adds a wonderful touch to the silver sheet - makes it look a bit like a feather. Very elvish overall!

oh I can tell that the photo doesnt do it justice. I cant see any signs of engraving on it at all. I like the shape though... let us know when you update your photos!

ooh! I like! What necklace are you making for your mum? I've been planning on the evenstar myself, but finding the stones will be hard. Marquis shapes stones are supposed to be exactly half as wide as they are long for optimum light refraction, but the ones used on the official pendant are much narrower than that.
