Hmm this is what I think -- Only 2 persons can escape from that huge painting and Mary has always wanted to go outside (real world??) when you get to the Garry's death route, Mary takes his 'existence' for being real.
And how is she Ib's sister ... that's what she wants when they're still in the painting world??

I don't know it just didn't make since to me because she went with ib and her parents in that ending but they were acting like they knew her so i just assumed she took the role of being ib's sister. So it kind of struck me as odd that nobody questioned who she was at all because everyone in there family has dark hair except Mary. orz
does mary like completely change reality to fit her new existence?
