Star wanted me to draw Akira, from Hikaru no Go. I don't know why he's wearing a scary tie and I have no idea what the kanji means.

this is really pretty. The hair reminds me of how I try to get the hair for a character of mine, Jem. The color is the same, too.. but I really like the 3-dimensionality that you gave it.. i think it's the shading, or something. either way, looks ultra spiffy, and I will have to fave it to keep track of the lovely job you have done on the hair

You're right! I don't think he looks much like Akira either. I was actually concentrating more on getting the picture look visually pleasing, instead of capturing the essence of an anime character. If it would have been otherwise, and I would have really put effort into it, this picture would have turned out quite different.

You did a great job with this all in one tone (excluding the black, yo) and the overall colouring is top notch. And since I'm a Hikaru no GO! fan, then I have to Favourite this.
