Wow! That's a lot of text! But bear with me...
So when I first created Akhalaia (the mare featured on this ref sheet) it was for a contest I didn't win, and since then she's just been hanging around, so I decided I should do something special with her.
And apparently...that meant creating my own breed.
So that's what I've done! This is a reference sheet for that new breed, the Bacabello, and on it is as much info as I've come up with so far.
Bacabellos aren't part of the comic, just so ya know...they're just something for fun. 
Oh, and if anyone's familiar with Mayan mythology, you might recognized some of the myth names.
I had fun researching, shall we say!Okay, I am so done typing now.

Yes, it just can't be "true" black, because that only happens with rarest Onyx. A slate horse that is very dark might try to pretend it is Onyx because of how rare the color is. Bacabellos can be quite vain in this way!

Bacabellos have a right to be vain... they are a gorgeous breed.
