I've considering how taurs could wear pants too. For a police suit, I think the most effective thing to do is make a long robe to cover everything from his lower back to where his legs begin (With a pocket to include at least part of his tail, and enough straps for him to take on and off by himself. From there, he wears boots as long as they need to be.

I do, but people also use it as short for centaur, especially when dealing with things that are shaped like them but not actually them (like the hexapodal doggy here).

Much as the Chacats are called cataurs. This dog in turn by some may be called a dogtaur. Cataur is kind of like short for cat centaur, even though a centaur is like half human and half horse. Though the full meaning of a centaur beyond what they look like seems to be debated.
You are right though, taur is widely used as a short writing of anything of this type. They are all odd things, but I like them.

Well yeah... That's why the shortened "Anthro" used to bother me.
It means human, so an anthro is basically just a human. But no, apparently it isn't. 0_0;
*and I do believe it is sexpedal or hexpedal. We use the root word ped for foot when counting, I think.... Maybe.
And since this is an "Anthro Taur", I think that means it's quadrupedal, as its front limbs act as hands opposed to feet.

*nods* I suppose it would technically be zoo or therian, but then I suppose you'd have the issues of people thinking they're wholly animals without human attributes.
I wasn't sure if it would be ped or podal. Maybe podal is more for motion rather than counting? We could settle on pedal, since that seems to work.
True, technically its quadrupedal as we are bipedal, but other animals are quadrupedal too and this form isn't quite that since there's two extra limbs. We'd need a better term here. Maybe Sagittarian? Sagittarius is sometimes represented by a centaur.

But it's a long word to use as it is, which is why it tends to get shortened to anthro even though that's really weird.
I'm not sure just using 'tari' will work.
Still, there's a difference between that type of quad and one where there's only four limbs.
I know. There's no easy answer since the only things with more than four limbs tend to be invertebrates...

Well the sign only says to wear pants, but not where or how to wear them. Just so long as one wears pants on their body somewhere then they are fine. I think he is fine for he is at most wearing pants as demanded by the sign.
