Description Acrylic on wallboard, 28x45cm
This is my father, taking a short nap in our living room Actually, he was not really happy about becoming a painting hmm I wonder what he would say seeing this picture on the internet XD
**By the way, this is my first attemp with acrylic and this is also the first case I painted on wallboard. My teacher encourages me to try out different materials in order to find my style. Currently, I am quite confused about how I should paint - maybe because my taste regarding fine art is also changing. So it could happen that I adopt a new style... I don't know :S As I mentioned, I am quite confused at the moment :S

well I think its the first layer of paint, it was some kind of white paint (something that we also use for wall painting, but I can not remember the name) and after it dried it somehow conserved the brush strokes - thereby the whole thing I painted on was no longer plain, but a surface with humps and lumps

what are those horizontal lines showing esp on the tree leaves? Is it the texture of the wall-board showing through a thin layer of paint?

why I am asking is - I have been reworking on a few of my old oil-paintings, I used to apply very thick layers then. And now when I overpaint, lines of the earlier coat still show. Took me a long time to re-paint with thick layers so that they don't show.
