It wasn't just that she had the most gentle eyes he had ever felt on him. There was something more to her. Much more. She was different, so very different.
And out of place.
There was something wrong about her, around her, in her. She didn't belong.
Was this what people saw when they looked at him?
The sympathy she greeted him with was melted with kindness and a warm smile. "Hello, Sweets," she said.-x-

Baby Dren, baby Dren, baby Dren
So I doubt anyone really remembers Minaliana.
She's from the Black Coal story with Aiizel and them people. I posted a picture of her maybe twice on here. Originally, she was a character who was dead in present day, and was only mentioned by other characters and flashbacks. She was a mother figure for Kelly and left her the estate that she[Kelly] turned into the Black Coal shop.
She was also connected to a few other plot points that I never got around to mentioning but are all now irrelevant because as I've mentioned in a previous post, I've pretty much scrapped it.
Buuuuuuuut
Can't bring myself to trash all the characters so I came up with this revision of her.
Instead of just a typical witch, she's now a dimension witch.
Basically, she makes cameos in all my stories now lmao.
No, but switching between different dimensions and realms is needless to say, tricky as all heck. And she hecked up bad.
She can no longer stay in one world for too long, or she'll die. Her life force and body would just break down.
She's like a universe virus and the antibodies are trying to correct it and terminate her.
Which now, I figured, is why she's dead in Black Coal. She stayed too long for Kelly.

But about this picture
Minaliana falls into this world, and I like the idea that she sort of watches over Dren for a period of time. Having a soft spot for the "unnatural" and something like Dren is not exactly a common creation.
I've been trying to pull together Dren's backstory a bit more. I don't imagine him really having anyone looking after him much.
I'm settling on the idea that his father was the light spirit and his mother was the demon. After the fling, the father was never in the picture and the mother likely abandoned him. No one really steps up to take care of him because all they choose to see is a scumbag demon.
Minaliana saw him and was probably like omg poor baby I'm your mom now.
Except she eventually has to leave, so that's sad.

I eventually want to have Minaliana have something to do with Kov's past and most likely Ayvenn too. Just a fun(or not so fun) thing kinda connecting them all before they even met each other.
