TIP: Use a mask on the layer of the texture you are using to control the amount and placing of the texture in your piece. In this piece, I duplicated the texture layer to allow certain things, like the flowers to show through more clearly. Other recent works

Beautiful picture, I love the owl flying in the corner. The small waterfall is beautiful, I love the spray you have there. The moss growing on the rocks, the reflection in the water, the sunlight taking a green tinge from going through the leaves... then there's the reflection in the water, that despite it still doesn't look clean (which is good, because water that creatures live in shouldn't look clean), the jumping frog and dragonfly... And I absolutely love the dress on the girl. I'm curious at what she's seeing in the water. Is she staring at herself, or the frog, or or is there something else that's caught her eye?
What I love most about this picture, is that on one hand, everything looks so realistic, and yet somehow, there's still something magical about it. Also the ambiguity of the girl's expression, is she relaxed, or worried? Is she tired or about to cry?
Amazing job. Very well done.

The girl is looking at the frog, and is aupposed to be surprised, and that's why her hands are up in that manner.
The water, which is dirty, I have used several times over in a few pieces...I like the look of it and like to use at least one recurring detail in a few of my pieces. Just a quirk of mine I think. lol
I love that you look at the piece and notice the details that I have, for the most part, put in there for a reason. Each of the details that you mentioned, are symbolic for a person or event.

imanipulate was great to start off with but then with me i ended up not just being a contributor but acting leader/co-founder,any way as with the group i have now its not even a year old and i am really pleased in the way its doing

after i left,i was asked back as a contributor,either i was missed or they liked how the group was organised
as with love4photography i took this on from a previous founder who kind of abandoned it,at the time i wanted to start up my own group and this seemed the perfect opportunity when it became available through adopt a group.
