Very lovely. I have a hard time creating forests so I have great respect for your abilities.

Thank you, don't praise too much, luckily we have here some forest around and I got a good stock of photos. For this I had Β photo as pattern. It helps a lot, during this work you realize how much colour you find in trees and how many little light spot there are. Also, forest are quite dark even on sunny days and therefore are strong contrasts. I think you have to paint a lot before creating forest out of imagination

You make some very good points. I've been trying to gather lots of reference images of different types of forests so I can compare them. I live in a forest but I tend to overlook it because I am so use to the way it looks that I find other types of forests more interesting. I really should take advantage of it more though.
