Description
Link, as seen on the upcoming SSBB and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Many requested me to draw him again, so I gave it a try.This one was pretty fun to draw, I'm satisfied with the results. I decided to make a minimalist background, just for a change.
Comments and constructive critiques are equally welcome.
Time: Around 4 hours.
Tools: PSP7, optical mouse.

I know, this drawing is very anatomically incorrect. Hopefully I'll do a better rendition of Link soon.

YaY Link! ^_____^ I like the background and the colouring (especially on the shield and hair). His arm seems a tad odd to me, just because of it's straightness, but I suck with poses, so it's just a thought, lol

the drawing in general looks fantastic and I can tell you put some effort into this. I think that the sudden changes in colors, when it comes to shading, makes the creases in his clothes look odd (even if they are well placed in the drawing it's self).
I see you tried to go with a dinamic pose for this drawing and it looks pretty good, but he looks a bit still. I don't want to go on complete detail about the things you can improve, otherwise I'd rip on a perfectly good drawing (seeing as how I've done that before)
Anyway, I love the drawing, it's composed nicely and I'd say that your drawing abilities are above average

Critique:
Watch your light source. The shield is lit from an angle opposite the rest of the picture. This throws the whole thing off and makes it look somewhat flat.

Yeah, enlarged the nose is all messed up. BUT YOU PWN MEH anyway xD I bet you either have a tablet or photobucket. Yes, it's on me favorites already ^_^

The edges of the character are really rough...either a bad crop job or lazy magic wand tool. The b/g is really boring...blue sky? Gonna add anything to that? The glare from the sun (or whatever the light source is) looks forced and too cartoony. The outer glow on the character needs to go..hell, the lighting overall needs work. The characters position feels awkward too..doesnt look natural at all.
Its ok, i guess. Not my style at all, which is what makes it hard for me to understand why it got 1500+ faves. Oh well, i guess thats just DA.

Anyhow! The coloring on this is lovely and the pose came out really well. My favorite part of this piece is his face. So beautiful. <3 And his hair! So shineeeeeeeee! :3 I love it!

Truely Excellent work Sigurd! The sheer resemblence of your work to the new Twilight Princess Styled Link is astoundingly accurate; Very high levels of detail throughout the picture, lincluding the creasing in his tunic, legs and boots, along with being able to clearly distinguish is many layers of clothing is well done!
Coluring overall is brilliant, true to style, and I also like how you pulled off a metallic shine in the sheild itself. It's unfortunate that it did not carry on the the sword itself, which actually looks simplitic next to the very high detail of the artwork; almost rushed. The Blue on the shield also does not appear to match the metallic feel of the rest of the sheild too..
The background actually contrasts well with Link, plus the "Shine" effect from the sword is also nicely placed.
