Walking the Dog

"Careful with that fool!" B.A. growled as Murdock attempted to perfect the 'Around the World' trick with his yo-yo. B.A had considered letting him be, but the yo-yo was getting dangerously close to the windscreen. He'd only recently had it replaced after the last successful, if slightly destructive, mission.

Murdock just turned to B.A and grinned, adjusting the peak of his cap back so B.A could see him more clearly. "Aww, stop being so frowny muchacho!" he said in his southern drawl. "You ought to get yourself one of these things B.A,", he held out the yo-yo in cupped hands, his grin growing even wider, "bet you can get 'em in solid gold!"

B.A grunted and mumbled as he parked the van and began to clamber out, slamming the door with more force than necessary.

Murdock seemed to ignore B.A's obvious annoyance, and bounced alongside him as they made their way to Mr. Lee's launderette. "Hey, hey B.A, you know what this one is called?" He did a move that involved rolling the yo-yo along the pavement. "'Walking the Dog!' That one's Billy's favourite!"

"Dogs don't have favourite yo-yo tricks sucker! 'Specially invisible dogs."

Murdock gasped in mock horror, "Billy, did you hear that! Did you hear what the big nasty man said, did you boy? Did yo...Hey!!!"

B.A grabbed the yo-yo out of Murdock's hand, and wrapped string around his fists. "Do you know what this trick is called? It's called the 'fool-strangler'. As in I strangle you with this piece of string if you don't shut up, fool!" Murdock began to back away as he realised where this was leading. It seemed B.A was in even less of a teasing mood than usual. In that case...

"It's ok, B.A," Murdock assured as he started to speed up, "Billy will save me!"

B.A growled and chased Murdock the rest of the way to Mr Lee's. He'd get the fool this time...and his dumb dog.
