Is that what they say in the english Starcraft?
Because I'm german.
I would quote a zerg unit here because I don't think they are translated in a way for other languages but... then again it's quite difficult to quote zerg...
Oh but I just remembered one famous Zerg quote:
"kekekekekekekekekekekekekekeke"

in starcraft 1, thats what infested marines say. the other ones are just ear-bloodying screeches

i never played starcraft 1, but those infested marines sound awesome. makes me sad the new ones arent as good. i do still love the new ones tho

Yeah the new ones are cool in another way, well, they don't blow up anymore to attack other units, they have guns now..
But, you make them with the Infestor I recon and they are there for a limited amount of time, then they die. And they move very slowly too. But I saw in a close up, what I found is the most cool fact about the new infested terrans; when they die because there time ran out they shoot themselves in the head, they like.. take there guns, point at there face and yeah..

are you srs? ive never seen that, i have low graphics. that is awesome!

but yeah, i like the use of these new infested dudes more then the old ones. banelings are better suicide bombers. but srsly, when hear of the swarm comes out, IM GOING TO FUCKING RAGE IF I CANT INFEST PEOPLES BUILDINGS.

imagine, that stupid noob takin mah gold minerals. with his planetary fortress, and i dont haz a spire yet. infested fortress kthnxbai.

OH FUCK YEAH!!!
Infesting buildings man, you're my bro!!!
I loved that too, so much, so fucking much.
It's like "hell I killed all your shit.. hmm... only your HQ is left... no don't worry, I'm not going to kill you... I'M GOING TO INFEST YOUR BRAINS AND LET YOU FIGHT FOR ME!!"
Oh yeah and I lol'd at your "infested fortress kthnxbai."
That would be mind blowing, like, if you infest a p.fortress it's going to be an infested fortress, shooting broodlings at enemies. If it is a orbital command thing then it'll function like a hatchery that you can lift of but with infestes SCVs and if it is simply a command center then you'll be able to create infested terrans with it without time limit.

Thinking of infesting... infesting protoss buildings would mean hybrids and they are overpowered so I guess that wont happen sadly...
But at least you can corrupt them with an Overseer

i never actually got to experience infested buildings, didnt play SC1.

actually, in the lore a protoss DID become infested, they were experimenting on creep and it exploded into a super infectious virus that not even the protoss's immunity could protect from. of the 2 hit, only 1 got infected. the other commited suicide by severing his psionic appendages. so yes, if the zerg could reproduce this circumstance, infested protoss could be made without OP hybrid units.

btw, and i the only one who grins when i see an overseer spray crap all over buildings?

"sorry, my overseer had dirrhea."

btw, since i dont play multiplayer, besides 3 games which made me lag the fuck out and lost, i wouldnt mind if you could just infest buildings with some kinda campaign unit. that would be a good compromise tbh.

also, i wanna go to the big line of supply depots and make infestation spread through all of them. -50 supply lol

something i would love is permanent infested units. whether it be zealots, marines, or something else, i think it would be a neat touch. maybe with later tech you could get abberations like from the campaign.

I played through SC1 single player and actually got into creating maps that serve as campains, you know? WIth dialog and all that, was really fun to do, although I mostly gave me unlimited money.. lol
But yeah, that and the single player of SC2, I don't own SC2, a friend of mine does, he let me play it, only single player. I suck at multiplayer, because something in me wants to build every building possible, then a huge army and THEN attack. But that's not how it works!
I mean, if I had a good computer and time to play a game that often I propably would get better, but that's not the case.

ANd I didn't know about those infested protoss...
BUt thinking about it; infested Protoss does not mean hybrid, because to be a hybrid it takes more. I mean; if a human has the swine flu that doesn't make him a pig-human
So I definately understand you there bro.

And no, you're not the only one grinning at overseers, haha, but I find overlords even better; did you see how they can drop creep? It's hilarious, it really looks like they actually have diarrhea!!!
Go there: [link]
It looks and sounds so awesome!
Haha~

And yeah, permanent infestion, well... we zerg buddies have our dreams.. but hey, I am REALLY curious what zerg units they will show when the "heart of the swarm" will come out!

in one of the trailers, i saw a bunker. it exploded into fucking zerg slime and walked away with a marine dragged to its foot and shot some guns at people.

and BTW, there are actually 2 kinds of zerg assimilation. i read alot about the zerg swarm

theres infestation, the kind you see on alot of terrans. they just pwn them with the disease and turn them into waddling cancerous grunts.

and theres hybridisation, where zerg DNA is merged with the recipients, like what happened to kerrigan, and the hybrids.

protoss have some kind of blessing from the khala that stop infestation, but like i said, if the zerg could genetically reproduce the super-infectious creep disease, they could probably manage infesting a few protoss.

Hah, all I know about zerg is what I got from both games actually, well, if SC1 and Broodwar are considered one game.

Well it would be cool if you could infest protoss buildings too.
But I see why it would be fair not to be able to infest just any building, zerg would be considered overpowered...
But in Single player...

hafu78 In reply to Getaro [2011-01-26 09:43:42 +0000 UTC]

single player can be overpowered, thats what i love. we have dropships with 30 slots, 500 health, and drop units near instantly.

and i think it should be able to in multiplayer, temporarily infest stuff. infesting is basically the core mechanic of the zerg. incase you didnt know, the zerg have no true actual form besides the virus. and they infest species, and mutate them into zerg creatures. thats how zerglings, hydralisks, ultralisks, and so forth came to be. so it would make sence that they can infest stuff if you ask me.

Hell yeah I know about that!
THe Xel Naga created the overmind and he basically began to infest other spezies and incorporate their genes into the gene pool of the zerg so that every zerg larva can morph into it... or something like that..
But yeah, the hydralisks where peacefull herbivores for example, I had to lol when I read that!
And I love the zerg for that <3

hafu78 In reply to Getaro [2011-01-26 15:33:56 +0000 UTC]

so do i.

"oh, your a peaceful herbivore, are you? fuck that, your now a horrifyingly aggressive monstrosity of nature itself."

i miss the overmind. he was better then kerrigan. he was a perfect idle of the zerg swarm

Getaro In reply to hafu78 [2011-01-26 16:00:57 +0000 UTC]

Yeah totally, the overmind was great.
And the one I loved the most died at first; Zasz...
I miss him.
He was the coolest agent of 'em all..!
But, well I don't know how far you are in SC2 Singleplayer but in "the swarms heart" it will get very very interesting considering the leadership of the swarm...

hafu78 In reply to Getaro [2011-01-26 18:16:11 +0000 UTC]

heart of the swarm. and yeah, im kinda mindfucked on the whole plot. i finished the game, and it was great. blizzard is awesome story tellers.

the whole kerrigan thing is wierd. she had to stay alive to control the zerg so they wouldnt be the hybrid's slaves. but if she isnt a zerg/human hybrid, isnt it as bad as if she died? or does she still control them anyway? errr whut.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Getaro In reply to hafu78 [2011-01-26 18:29:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah exactly!
I was so confused as raynor pulled her out there, almost human, well, she still got tentackle arms. But as I know from the first game where the dark templars killed the agents the swarms they controlled went amok! So... does the whole Zerg race now go around and kill everything without control?
The overmind turned Kerrigan into zerg and during this transformation she didn't just change her looks but gaint strenght and psyonic strength aswell. SO now that she is just human I kinda doubt that she is psycological strong enough to control the whole zerg swarm.
And the hybrids aren't there yet.
I'm puzzled.
And what happened to Duran?
