Reference Sheet for my OC Esmael.
update: changed his design. I didn't like his old one much anymore.

He's 25 in the left design and in his fourties in the right one.

Born in on of the oldest magician family of Banasri, the city of magicians, Esmael had very strict education from a very young age and was expected to achieve excellence and master magma magic like all his ancestors. However despite his best efforts he always had trouble controling his magic, leading him to have a number of accidents who left him with several scars on his body, especially on his arms. He consider them to be a proof of his failure and always tries to hide them under long sleeves.
As he grew up not meeting his parents expectency, and the latter begining to give all their attention to his younger brother, Esmael spent most of his time with his oldest friend Nao. Nao's father, Baltir, always welcomed him as family.

Kind, caring and enthusiastic person, Esmael uses magma magic, but lacks self-confidence. He almost always has a smile on his face.
As a child, he got nicknamed "Manel", his first name being a little hard to prononce for kids, but only the closest people to him ever use it.
