It's a series of visual novels (games) and anime mainly about music (they produce the most amazing Jpop song I ever heard).
In the anime,it starts with Haruka nanami who is trying to get accepted into Saotome academy. The visual novels have routes in them (you pick one each time) STARISH,and QUARTET NIGHT (and Ringo and Ryuya,the teachers) so in the anime,they couldn't really focus on all of them so they made one episode for each,showing a brief story about what the route is about (like a trailer to the routes,it doesn't really show a lot,but it still manages to be amazing and the music is really epic).

I guess so. I do know a fan translated Shining All Star,though.
Just today I spent a lot of time researching characters that appear in the game only such as Hoshikage Seira(?) who's Ren's ex.
If you ever get the games,I recommend playing Masato route in Repeat and Ai's route (Quartet Night only have routes in Shining All Star,I think they appear in Debut).
