I was extremely disappointed with the designs for the new Clone Wars movie- especially Ahsoka Tano's design in the wake of the impeccable Shaak Ti- and so took it upon myself to play around with her character. Not necessarily in the style of Genndy, but that's obvious enough. I feel like the Togruta have been define as a more ceremonial race in terms of their dress, and it seemed like a cop out to put Ahsoka in generic "new trilogy" costuming.How they messed up the look of this film when the source material and the corresponding Gentle Giant maquettes are so gorgeous I'll never know.
There's some stuff I'd like to change about this, but that's not going to happen any time soon so I'm posting it anyway.

Personally I like both yours and the original Ahsoka Tano designs. This would fit in really well in my opinion anyways with star wars rebels during the time period of the galactic empire were shes older and a Jedi master. Β Also just a side note now that I'm thinking about I think you could make one hell of a Sith character like a inquisitor considering that the Sith and their, soldiers, and officers were clothing in the vain of what you seem to like to design characters with.

Ahsoka take that as a young, sweet fighter, but your redesing as if to say: You're out of my way or I'll smash your mouth!

I much prefer the original design for Ahsoka. This doesn't even somewhat resemble Ahsoka. I know it says redesign, but... Man, not even the tiniest bit of resemblance. I'm sorry, but it's not Ahsoka.

Actually I think he's referring to Ahsoka's facial markings. Like the human finger print, every Togruta has his or her own unique facial markings. Aside from that the artwork is excellent. A very well drawn Togrutan Jedi. If you had gotten the markings right the picture would've been perfect.

A really good concept but I could never imagine Ahsoka looking like that in the clone wars series, I like the original design more. I'm not taking anything away from your concept because it's fantastic but I think her early disign in the clone wars series is realistic.

After having just finished season 3, I'm only starting to tolerate Ahsoka Tano as a character. I agree, they copped out on her costume--yours is a big improvement. I love the flowy pants.

I like this better than the movie/series version. Even if it's nothing like traditional Togruta clothes, neither is what she's wearing in the series!

*points to the title* It says both "Ahsoka" and "redesign," I'm not quite sure what's confusing you. This was drawn right when the series started, so I had no allegiances to sticking with the design they had settled on.

Her official design is cute, but that's not defined by her character- she just needed to be a young Togruta. At the time the primary point of reference for Togruta design was Shaak-Ti from the prequels, an amazingly iconic design that didn't rely on cutifying a character to make her look feminine, and so I wanted to bring Ahsoka's design back to the source. That is to say without pointlessly huge dewey blue eyes instead of small black ones.

haha, okay- this is a redesign, so the whole point is that I don't like Ahsoka and, here's the kicker, redesigned her. She's not meant to look like the same person. And you have seen Amidala's myriad of asian-influenced costumes, right? It's really not that out of place:

this redesign is fantastic..and the costume design they selected for her is just one of many problems that exist with her character.

This is a very interesting design. I admit I'm not fond of Ahsoka's first outfit...the outfit she has in the third season is better. And yours has a very traditional look, as in combining the Jedi robes with something the Togruta wear. I really like this, good work!

Well I can see well I think it's a Indian influence in the picture and it looks not bad I have to say, but I really don't care for the overly heavy white around her eye's I think it ruins her face if it was thinned out or instead a design that surrounded the eye I think it would look better, but still it's a very good picture.
