Griffins are powerful hunters that will eat any flesh they can pick up from the ground. They have strong, muscular limbs and claws that they use to catch their prey.
While flying, griffins grab their prey from the neck with their front claws and pick them up, then, they grab it with their hind claws so they have their front claws free to either rip open their prey's throat or snap their neck; letting go while high in the air is also a valid way to secure a kill.
