Downtown Los Angeles is divided into districts based on what's there: The Jewelry District is full of stores selling jewelry, the Toy District sells toys, the Fashion District sells bolts of fabric...You get the idea. L.A. is also divided by different cultures. There's Little Tokyo, Chinatown, Filipinotown, but by now some of those districts have become blended. For example, you would expect a bunch of Filipino stores and restaurants in Filipinotown, but it actually consists more of Latino stores and restaurants. That's L.A. for you, as diverse as can be!
